My condolences, AM...I know that feel almost exactly, since a similar thing happened to me a couple years back.

TTBM: My grandmother is slowly fading away each day, and my dad is understandably not handling it very well. Not only do we have to deal with her death, which will likely come sooner rather than later, but we also have to deal with all of the costs of her bills and such that still need to be paid even after she dies.
Unlike my father, I am not very saddened by the fact that my grandmother is hanging on by a thread, even though she's been a completely kickass grandmother to me, my siblings, and my cousins for so long, and is also the last grandparent I've got. While this would normally unnerve me, I've come to terms with the fact that I just don't take tragedies normally, and besides, It's not like I've got any loose ends to tie with my grandmother.
What does unnerve me though, is that one of my first thoughts upon hearing my dad complain about how he's struggling to keep from getting any deeper in debt, is that I probably won't be able to get to Rare's wedding. I've just now realized just how big of a selfish bastard I am for thinking like that when there are much bigger issues that will come with my grandmother's death and the resulting payments that need to be paid.

TL;DR I just had a "Wow, I'm a fuckin' jerk" moment.

TTBM2: My brother is trying to mold me into being just as big a hedonist as he is. Now, I do look up to my brother in some respects (His advice on how to get ahead in life, as well as his philosophy on life in general,) and I do respect that he has informed me that two attractive girls want my phone number. However, I don't like how he will pose as me while messaging girls, and then put me in the awkward position of finishing what he started for me. In addition, I also don't like it when he forces me to drink some kind of booze that tastes way too strrong for me, and then when I tell him so, he just responds with "Oh okay, don't worry. I'll find you something that you can't even taste the alcohol in," without considering that maybe I'm just not a drinker.

TTBM3: Someone in our extended family has been spreading lies that my immediate family has not been visiting our dying grandmother enough, which has resulted in at least two phonecalls confronting us about it. That's just a fucking dick move.

TTBM4: I have dandruff.

I don't know, it sounds like you're just being realistic. I was sad when when my great-grandmother died, but she was 99. People die, and we have to accept that.

I think it's easier to accept someone's death when you know it's coming. I didn't feel that bad when my grandmother passed away because her condition had been deteriorating for months so we all kind of had time to prepare and deal with it in advance. My grandfather on the other hand died very suddenly. He was an otherwise very intelligent and healthy man, so nobody expected something like this to happen. I was crushed and had a much harder time dealing with that than I did with my grandmother.

I see death as natural and am not overly scared or saddened by it. Death is just another stage in human journey and it's remarkable and sometimes inspiring when it happens. This doesn't mean I don't feel sad when someone passes, but I often find myself not emotionally effected when it happens.

I'm sorry problems might arise from your loss, nevertheless

I have dandruff too. I hardly visited my dying grandma at all, because I can't deal with cancer and my dick grandad in the same place. My brothers don't understand me either.

My family seriously thinks I'm a lesbian now. I don't mind because their jokes about it are much less meanspirited now.

TTBM: Girl that rejected me a few months ago but that I'm, despite my best efforts, still crazy for just told me she has a new boyfriend. He's a friend of mine. Never thought it would be this hard to avoid descending in to alcoholism.

Maybe I should get a snake.

I'm feeling sorry for myself on here because it just makes me feel a bit better to tell someone and because the person I usually talk to about stuff like this is the subject of this TTBM.

My old depression therapist told me she had a pet snake but when I grilled her about what kind of snake it was she waffled and said something about how she wasn't told when she bought it. I don't think she did have a snake. I think she was a dirty liar.

Well, snakes going into one nostril and coming out the other seems to be a bit odd

People who feel the need to shout things at you from their cars when they drive by. How cowardly do you need to be to yell at someone while in a moving vehicle?

In year 7 I dobbed on all the kids who threw fruit out the windows of the bus. In year 8 I was cool enough to sit up the back of the bus so I became the one throwing fruit and getting dobbed on. I missed a lot because I didn't want to hurt anyone. It was good fun. In year 9 I stopped throwing fruit and decided on sandwiches, instead. In year 10 I stopped throwing food because a girl I liked told me that she thought it was immature.

Last month, someone threw fruit at me from the bus and missed and I smiled.

It is so beautiful when the world comes full circle.

But, really, if I could go back to high school and had the opportunity to throw some more food, I would totally do it. No girl tells the Semicolon what he can and can't do.

One time in 6th or 7th grade, I was walking home, when a couple of teenagers in rolled by in a car and shouted at us "FUCKING KIDS, DON'T DO DRUGS!" And then they sped off.

I've taken their advice to heart, and haven't touched any illegal substances since then.

I once biked down a small hill near my high school. Kids on both side of the street, waiting for the bus. I keep speeding up before suddenly screaming ''I CAN'T STOP THIS THING!''

Does that count for anything?
