OBJECTION!

HOW DOES A PONY SIT IN A CHAIR?

OBJECTION! Relevance to the case at hand! Now as I understand it, this paper says you are attempting to be prosecution? Well, if no one else objects, although I think JT has more experience in this case at the moment.

The Council notes that the photograph appears to show the defendant smoking a dirty stinkin' hippie joint full of whoopie weed, which may account for his altered appearance.

See?

Hmm, depending when the photo was taken, the drugs could be out of your system by now. Do we have a timestamp on that photo?

@Dewmann: Sure thing; it will take some time. Would you like a nice poppy-seed bagel in the meanwhile? Maybe two? Dozen?

EDIT: Madam Judge, the timestamp seems to show it as last month. Traces will be minimal, although that is quite the doobie he has there...or, rather, dewbie. []

Defendant has the right to represent himself. Katls, if you wish to prosecute, you need someone experienced to guide you through, this being your first time. JT, would you like to volunteer?

Then allow me to announce this trail open. Dewman, you are being charged for breaking an entering the treehouse cookie jar. The first piece of evidence is this picture, taken by the Treehouse security camera,, owned and maintained by my Beetelegence company. You may present your opening statement.

Thank you Your Honor.

On the night of the cookie jar break-in, I stayed up until roughly 12:30 AM gaming, before heading off to bed. If I had broken into the cookie jar, I would have to had stayed in the kitchen, as due to previous situations that I do not wish to bring up right now, I must eat all of my meals in the room where I made them or where they were prepared for me

There really isn't much more that I can say at this moment.

Court recognizes the objection. Katls, no monsters, please.

Thank you Your Honor.

I see. That dosen't give us much ground to stand on, I'm afraid. Prosecution, you may begin.

Hmm... where to start...
Well, I see that you tell us that you must eat where you get the food, but why?
I personaly think that is the worst lie that I have ever heard, but I will give you the chance to explain to us why that is.

Thank you, Your Honour, and thank you, esteemed colleague Katls. The photograph evidence clearly shows the defendant in close proximity to the cookie jar, the night before it was burglarized. I need not describe the sorrow and heartbreak that affected us all the next morning upon discovery of the foul perfidy.

Furthermore, this further evidence was found in a warranted search of the defendant's room, some days later:

Very well then, if the prosecution insists...

About a week ago, I was caught sneaking a sizable helping of Italian Ice just before suppertime. A minor offense, but still, I had to face the punishment. For the next two months, I must eat all of my meals in clear and perfect sight of all cameras or other residents of the Treehouse.

*Minutes later*

OBJECTION! That evidence could have been planted for all we know! How and where exactly did you find that evidence?

Hmm, I recall that incident, it really got my company working! Although we could also say you relapsed, and took cookies out of the kitchen. Nevertheless, I want to put the trial on a small hold until I can clear something up.

Okay, I return! With warm milky! *cough* Yes, I have the report right here. Dewman has been faithfully eating in the kitchen, in the sight of security cameras since the incident. This does not prove the defendants innocence, however.

Katls, the punishment will be determined at the end of the trial.

Prosecution, do you acknowledge Dewman's objection that the crumbs could have been placed by anyone trying to frame him?

Classic denile, I'm afreid, it's always that the defendent of any case will say that their inoccent, so I will not acknowlege that. But I must ask, how secure are the surrvalence cammeras?

We do have evidence that the defendant can appear to be in multiple locations at once:

Oh, the cameras? Good question! They are top-notch. As you know, I am the Queen of many companies, species...using faulty or out-dated technology would simply bring my reputation down, people wouldn't trust or invest in me! So yes, the cameras are very secure. They are in each room, except the bathrooms, and bedrooms. You understand why.

Although...

It seems the camera in the kitchen was malfunctioning a month ago. My team of bee specialists were sent down to fix it in the evening hours.

Now, regarding the new photo brought into evidence, If the prosecution has no other questions about the cameras, I'd like the Defendant to talk about the photo of him, uh, 'budding'.
